Main topics of the Cellular Biology curriculum are: the mechanisms of signal transduction; membrane trafficking; structure and function of intracellular organelles; mitochondrial physiopathology and its influence on apoptosis; the host-pathogen interaction. The studies on the basic mechanism will be integrated with those on the main pathologies of medical interest, in particular about tumorogenesis and degenerative diseases.
